Profile

Patricia Boyallian is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Corporate Finance at Lancaster University. She joined Lancaster in 2015 after holding a position as postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Finance of Aalto University. Dr. Boyallian completed her doctoral studies in July 2014 at the University of Carlos III. Her primary research interest is in the area of empirical corporate finance and financial institutions. She is predominantly interested in examining how firm pay incentives affects managerial risk taking, and how alternative governance arrangements affect firm performance. Other research interests include banking supervision, institutional ownership, shareholder activism and the dynamics of supervisory director’s labour market.
