As a Leading University in Cyber Security education, we have a number of courses you might be interested in across a full spectrum of academic disciplines to prepare you for the world of cyber security.
Our undergraduate offering is built on our core BSc Hons in Cyber Security and has two variants; one to allow you to study abroad and one to add on an additional year to study advanced topics and gain industry experience.
Our interdisciplinary postgraduate programmes are design to develop skills needed to develop effective cyber security working with others across organisations. Whether this is developing skills from a technical base with our MSc in Cyber Security or developing your management and leadership practice with our Cyber Security Executive MBA.
Undergraduate Courses in Cyber Security
BSc Hons in Cyber Security
Our BSc Hons Cyber Security programme is designed for the cyber security systems engineers and architects of the future. The programme is grounded in our core computer science programme but adds cyber security concepts, such as security and penetration testing, digital forensics, cryptography, network security and resilient distributed systems. This programme includes advanced, and emergent, cyber security topics, such as security of autonomous systems, secure AI, and secure cyber-physical systems.
BSc Cyber Security
BSc Hons in Cyber Security with a Year Abroad
This is the same programme as our BSc Hons in Cyber Security in your third year you will study at one of our overseas partner universities, building your global outlook and connectivity. You will choose specialist computing modules as well as modules from across the host institute, allowing you to gain cultural and personal skills as well as expanding your professional network.
BSc Hons Cyber Security Year Abroad
MSci in Cyber Security
This programme adds a fourth year to the BSc Hons in Cyber Security. This additional year will provide you with a range of advanced modules as well as practical and professional experience. Blending contemporary technical training with advanced professional development, you will complete a variety of integrated industry activities during a dedicated ten-week industry placement. This is complemented with a further seven-week fourth-year project.

Cyber Security Executive MBA
The Cyber Security Executive MBA is a blended, part-time programme that will provide leaders with the expertise they need to manage cyber security in their organisation. Partnered with leading cyber security consultants, and taught by academic experts from the Lancaster University Management School and the School of Computing and Communications, the programme adopts a practice-based approach to learning with modules designed to help students build their knowledge and use it to analyse their own organisational context.
