Social Justice, Racial Justice and Other Charming UK Fairytales - Ruth Ibegbuna (Founder of Northern Soul)

A visionary of immense talent, Ruth’s national campaigns for equality and reform have earned her recognition as one of Virgin's top female changemakers and secured her a spot in The Sunday Times' list of influential figures. Ruth founded RECLAIM, a Manchester-based charity aimed at supporting working-class youth into leadership positions. Serving as CEO for 11 years, Ruth led national campaigns for equality and worked closely with young survivors of CSE to establish REIGN, an organization focused on reforming failing systems. She has since gone on, in response to Brexit, to create The Roots Programme to bridge divides. She is also the CEO of Rekindle School that seeks to nurture critical thinking in working-class youth. Ruth is also developing the FUEL programme to empower community changemakers nationwide. As a Clore Social Fellow and Ashoka UK Fellow, Ruth's expertise is sought after by prestigious clients such as Google, Amnesty International, and RSA. Her strengths-based approach and compelling storytelling make her a powerful advocate for social justice.
