John Creed Avenue electric vehicle charging point installation works

Students walking along John Creed Avenue

A programme of works to install six new electric vehicle (EV) charging points on John Creed Avenue, which will result in 10 new EV parking spaces and two new accessible EV parking spaces, will take place from Tuesday 2 January until late January 2024.

The works will take place across existing parking spaces on the south side of John Creed Avenue next to the accessible parking facilities – find the location on Mazemap. During this time the spaces will be out of access for all parking users. Once the works have been completed these spaces will be reserved for EV parking only. The two new accessible EV parking spaces will be located next to the existing accessible parking spaces on John Creed Avenue.

The path next to these parking spaces will be closed, with a temporary diversion in place to the other side of the parking spaces. The accessible parking facilities will remain in use throughout the duration of the works and will be unaffected by the new EV spaces. Alternative staff parking spaces are available in the car park behind the Chemistry building, and in the Perimeter Road parking zones.
