Perimeter Road parking

On Wednesday 3 January from 10:30am – 11:30am the Perimeter Road next to Bowland Hall and the adjacent pavement will be temporarily closed while a large tree is felled due to its poor and unsafe condition. This section of the Perimeter Road will be completely closed to all vehicle, cycle and pedestrian road and pavement users during this time.

A full traffic management system will be in place during the works. Road users approaching from the south will be directed to use Bowland Avenue to turn around and travel anti-clockwise on the Perimeter Road to access North Campus. The Bowland Avenue one-way system will remain in place during the works. Road users approaching from the north will be directed to use a turning point located on Rossendale Avenue between LICA and the Great Hall, and travel clockwise on the Perimeter Road to access South Campus. An alternative pedestrian route will be available via Bowland Annexe and the Great Hall. The closure will take place for approx.one hour.

The visitor parking facility in this section of the Perimeter Road will also be closed for use. Other nearby visitor parking facilities are available outside the Chaplaincy Centre, close to the County John Creed building, and on John Creed Avenue.
