Welcome

Two students in the Psychology Levy Lab

Welcome to Postgraduate Psychology

I am delighted to welcome you to Psychology at Lancaster. You, as a postgraduate student, are an important and integral part of our Department, and I look forward very much to meeting you and welcoming you in person to our community.

Our Master's programmes are designed so that you receive cutting-edge training from staff conducting the very latest research. You will have lots of opportunities for taking part in this very latest research yourself, through placements in our research laboratories, as well as with your own research project as part of your degree.

We are proud of our strong sense of community and our supportive, open and friendly environment, and look forward to you becoming a part of it. Our programmes are relatively small cohorts, which means that you get to know your fellow students, and staff, very well throughout your studies, and share your own background knowledge and experience in your group.

Lancaster is a great place to study and enjoy being a student, whether you’ve already studied here or are coming here for the first time. It should be a year for you to enjoy and flourish, both academically and socially, and I hope to see you very soon.
