UNIversal Gym Memberships
Become a member with us and you’ll automatically qualify for a UNIversal Gym Membership where you’ll unlock access to over 90 gyms across the country at no extra cost.
Get your card
Being an annual gym membership holder with us entitles you to a free UNIversal Gym Membership, which can be used in over 90 gyms across the UK.
If you're a current student or member of staff with a silver, gold or platinum membership you can claim your card for free by visiting reception. The friendly team there will issue your card and complete your enrolment. Once that's done you'll be able to access any of the gyms that are available on the scheme. You'll need to bring your UNIversal Membership card with you as proof of membership when using other gyms.
We also accept BUCS UNIversal Members from other educational establishments. Remember to bring proof of your BUCS membership to all sessions.
The scheme is operated by BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) which is the national governing body for Higher Education sport in the UK. The aim of the scheme is to encourage staff and students in Higher Education to engage with sport and stay active. BUCS recognises that, students (and some staff too) spend a lot of their time split between various locations and offers a greatly cost effective way of gaining access to multiple gyms, enabling you to workout whether at home or at University.

To qualify for the UNIversal Gym Membership you need to be a current student or member of staff and hold an annual gym membership with us. Click on one of the links below for more information on becoming a member.
