Accessibility statement for Lancaster University Module Evaluation Survey (LUMES)

This accessibility statement applies to the Lancaster University Module Evaluation Survey (LUMES) web application, run by Lancaster University.

LUMES is an automated system to deliver end of module evaluation questionnaires to students, which feeds into the generation of reports that are sent to selected departmental staff. LUMES incorporates the use of Qualtrics software to enable the creating and editing of surveys; further information about Qualtrics accessibility is available on the Qualtrics website.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 400% on the majority of pages without the text spilling off the screen;
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard;
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software;
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader;
  • use browser settings to adjust the font size and/or font face.

We have also attempted to make instructions and explanations as clear as possible.

How accessible this website is

We know some of the content within the LUMES admin area isn't fully accessible and therefore does not meet the accessibility standards:

  • The text will spill off the screen on certain pages if you zoom in up to 400%;
  • Some pages have multiple buttons with the same text (e.g. “Preview” or ‘Edit’) that launch differing content;
  • Some preview pages launch in a new window.

Further details are shown below.
