Postgraduate Application Portal accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to the Lancaster University Postgraduate Application Portal – a website for use by applicants to apply for Postgraduate study and to manage their application.

This website is part of a third-party system purchased, implemented and administered by Lancaster University. We want as many people as possible applying for postgraduate study to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We have identified some accessibility issues when using this website with certain software applications:

  • Accessing the website using Safari as a browser can cause navigation issues for screen readers and when using the keyboard. Using Chrome or Edge is recommended.
  • When zooming at high magnifications it is best to operate in full screen mode rather than in a window.
