A project to inspire diversity in cyber security at a young age using entrepreneurship.
The Team
Dan Prince
Professor Dan Prince is Co-Director for the Lancaster ACE-CSE, MSc programme director, and Cyber Exec MBA programme co-director. He is responsible for the skills and talent workstream in Lancaster University’s £19M investment in cyber capability. He was the academic lead for Lancaster in the Greater Manchester and Lancashire Cyber Foundry projects and developed the Secure Digitalisation Programme which embedded cyber innovation and cyber entrepreneurship as a business-enabling mechanism within non-cyber companies. Dan has developed and delivered a schools engagement programme in relation to cyber security for the last 2 years.
Anna Dyson
Anna Dyson is a PhD researcher in International Relations at Lancaster University, specialising in complex socio-technical systems and their impact on defence and security, particularly remote technologies in conflict. She also works as a Research Associate in the School of Computing and Communications and has prior experience with the PETRAS-funded Hipster Project, studying security and privacy decision-making in software development. She is a member of Security Lancaster, a multidisciplinary institute focusing on all aspects of cyber security including societal, behavioural, and the legal aspects of network and systems security.
Chris Lowerson
Chris Lowerson has a significant track record within entrepreneurial programmes. He was the project manager for Lancaster in the Greater Manchester and Lancashire Cyber Foundry and has developed Higher Education student start up programmes for the university, including a dedicated extra-curricular cyber entrepreneurship programme for students on the MSc in Cyber Security. Chris is currently Partnerships Development Manager for the School of Computing and Communications and has specific responsibility for graduate employability in the school.
