I am so unbelievably the happiest I have ever been in my life. Last week I completed my first full week at school and I loved every single minute of it. Most of my time was taking groups out to talk to them about anything and everything to get their English rolling and I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing their English competences are. I am with 10 and 11 years olds, yet their English is probably around the same level as my Spanish and I’m fast approaching 22!

I even gave my first actual proper lesson..! I was teaching on Medieval Cities and so had to teach them all about (after teaching myself) castles and guilds and artisans and to be fair I think I learnt as much as they did. I also just today have started doing their Cambridge English exams with them.. which requires me being the CD player and stopper, and question explainer and tomorrow will see me start the speaking exam mocks with them! I was so terrified at any responsibility that Ainara gave me but as soon as I jump in it’s the easiest job in the world and I keep wondering why I was ever hesitant to get involved and stuck in!
