Applying for a VISA Loan

Lancaster University is very keen to support staff with the cost of UK visa or residency and/or healthcare surcharge costs and is able to offer an interest-free loan to assist with what can be considerable costs. Applying for a UK Bank Account

When applying for a UK Bank Account, the Bank will ask for proof of ID and employment status in the UK. Email hr@lancaster.ac.uk and HR can provide you with a letter to support your application for a UK Bank Account.

Applying for a National Insurance Number

You will need to apply to Jobcentre Plus over the phone on +44 845 600 0643 to gain a National Insurance Number. For more guidance see Gov.UK Website.
