Jacob Ainscough

Senior Research Associate

Dr Ainscough can comment on topics including general climate policy, public attitudes on climate policy, and public engagement in climate policy-making.

Dr Jacob Ainscough

Mike Berners-Lee

Professor in Practice at Lancaster Environment Centre

Professor Berners-Lee can comment on areas including sustainability, climate change, and carbon footprinting. His research includes supply chain carbon modelling, sustainable food systems and the environmental impact of ICT. He also specialises in 21st-century thinking skills – such as how we invest and spend our money, the behaviour of politicians, and the impact of corporations.

He has extensive media experience, with interviews including BBC Horizon, Panorama and Newsnight, BBC Radio 4 and Radio 5 Live, Channel 4 News, Sky News, and a contribution to BBC One documentary Greta Thunberg: A Year to Save the World.

Research Fellow in Environmental Science

Dr Lamont is a marine biologist who can provide expert comments on environmental change, ecosystem restoration, biodiversity and coral reef ecology.

Previous media appearances include BBC World Service, ABC Australia and BBC Radio 4’s PM Show. Dr Lamont was also the youngest-ever guest on BBC Radio 4’s “The Life Scientific”.

Suzana Ilic

Senior Lecturer at Lancaster Environment Centre

Dr Ilic can be interviewed on topics around coastal environments. She has a specific interest in coastal hydrodynamics, sediment interactions, coastal geomorphology and the impacts of climate change and human interventions on the future of coastal environments.

Previous media appearances include regional and national TV – in the UK and Croatia – as well as regional radio interviews.

Professor in Energy and Climate Governance

Professor Willis can comment on the climate crisis, energy and climate policy, renewable energy, national and local climate strategies, fossil fuel developments (such as coal mines and oil wells) and their impacts on the climate.

Previous media appearances include taking part in the Channel 4 News election special in 2019, BBC documentary The People vs Climate Change, and many national and international interviews. Professor Willis was selected for the Woman’s Hour Power List 2020: Our Planet.
