The region
Located in the east end of Shandong Province, Weihai stands on the coast between Beijing and Shanghai, close to the Korean Peninsula and across the sea from the Japanese Archipelago.
Dubbed a 'Garden City' in China, the coastal city of Weihai is famous for its excellent air quality, temperate climate, lush forests and picturesque islands. Its nearby islands, hot spring, beach resort, and other attractions mean that there are plenty of places to visit.
Weihai has a population of about 2.8 million and seven higher education institutions. It is an economically developed city with many large state-owned and private enterprises. Weihai, China and Incheon, South Korea are the demonstration areas for local economic cooperation of the China-Korea Free Trade Agreement.
Famous international enterprises in Weihai include: Samsung Electronics (Shandong) Digital Printers Ltd., Weihai Daewoo Electronics Co., Ltd., ITOCHU Corporation, Howden Products & Services, Mitsubishi Electric, Lotte, and Invensys.
Famous Chinese enterprises in Weihai include: Wego Group, Triangle Group, Jinhou Group, Weihai Guangtai, Haima Carpet, Shandong Weida Group, Dishang Group, Jiajiayue Group, Beiyang Group, and Disha Pharmaceutical Group.
The campus
Our campus is on the south coast of the Shandong Peninsula. It has all the facilities you need, with purpose-built accommodation, sports, shopping and dining facilities.
It is approximately one hour from Weihai city centre, and 40 minutes from the Weihai airport.
On campus we have invested in the resources you need to complete your degree, with a well-stocked library and modern classrooms and teaching spaces.
Accommodation
The accommodation on campus is made up of double rooms with a bathroom. These rooms are furnished with two single beds and bedding, desks, bookshelves, a closet, air-conditioning, a refrigerator, and internet cables. There is a public kitchen and laundry on each level.
As a guide, accommodation has previously cost CNY 3,600 per academic year. Please get in touch for current prices.
Canteen
The campus includes a three-story canteen, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with more than 80 choices every day.
