Rodney Irwin, Honorary Teaching Fellow at the Pentland Centre, is made a Professor of Accounting and Sustainability at Leuphana University.

Dr. Rodney Irwin, Managing Director of Redefining Values and Education at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, has been made an Honorary Professor in Accounting and Sustainability at Leuphana University.

The President of the University presented the award. Dr. Irwin received the accolade for commitments to education, research on the management of sustainability risks and reporting, and his continuous drive to find ways in which business can reduce unwanted environmental and social impacts.

Rodney was also recognised by Professor Stefan Schaltegger, the Head of the Leuphana Centre for Sustainability Management, for his international networks with multinational businesses, scientific institutes (such as Yale University, Cambridge University, Arizona State University, Lancaster University) and Non Governmental Organisations (such as WWF, Greenpeace and Amnesty International).

Rodney will be joining us in Lancaster on the 16th March 2017 to teach on the MSc. Module International and Corporate Strategy and running a joint masterclass in Materiality: Stakeholder to Businesses on the 17th with Dr Todd Cort from Yale University.
