Overview and Submissions

The North Wales Young Researchers Conference

Abstracts

The first stage of the competition is an abstract round in which short summaries of your research are submitted. These should be less than a page of A4 in total: with half a page of text, a diagram (if appropriate) and references. If you need a starting point for sources have a look at the resources section. Remember that this is an overview of the initial stages of your research and should be accessible to someone who is not an expert.

Conference

Date: 9th March 2024

Scientists around the world use conferences to communicate the latest methodologies and technologies, through academic displays or presentations at a day event. From the abstracts, the best ideas will be selected to progress on to the conference, which is part of the Bangor Science Festival in March 2024. You will create an academic display which should be accessible to any audience as the conference is open to the public. Your display and ability to communicate it will be judged by a panel made up of researchers, councillors and science communicators.
