Activities and Learning

The extensive knowledge and expertise of the Pre-School Centre staff alongside the rich environment provided, supports the learning and development of each individual child. All the daily activities alongside any additional enhancements provided are included with your session fees.

  • Teddies Club

Teddies Club is held in Fylde College Common Room during term time, the session runs from 10am until 11.30am, is free of charge and open to all babies and toddlers. It provides a fantastic opportunity for parents to network and children to participate in a range of activities.

  • Learning through play

Development Matters sets standards for the learning, development and care of your child from birth to 5 years old. All schools and Ofsted-registered early years providers must follow the Development Matters guidance, including Childminders, Pre-schools, Nurseries and School reception classes.

  • Supporting healthy eating

Meals and snacks provided at the Centre are included in the fees and aim to encourage a healthy, well balanced diet.‌ The menus include a variety of foods from the main food group, providing key nutrients for a growing child. Staff are there to support the children and help make meal times feel social, setting good examples of table manners and encouraging conversation.
