Research Integrity, Ethics & Governance

Research Integrity and Ethics: Guide to related policies and procedures - The University’s strategic objective is to deliver the highest quality research and this Policy guidance has been produced to help our researchers understand the related policies and procedures and where to seek help and advice.

We are now using Research Ethics Application Management System (REAMS) for all ethics applications – to find out more click REAMS.

The ethics team handles all queries related to ethics at Lancaster University, including whether ethical review is necessary for your research and whether this review needs to be conducted internally or externally. The team provides support to the Faculty Research Ethics Committees, which reviews and approves research ethics applications, and the overarching University Research Ethics Committee which oversees ethical issues and processes.

Please see the contacts section for details of your faculty contact, along with links to each Research Ethics Committee.
