Visa and immigration

We know that studying in another country can feel worrying and there’s a lot to organise before you’re ready to set off for university. At Lancaster, we try to make your application and arrival as easy as possible and to remove as much of the stress as possible.

One of the biggest concerns many of our students have is about their visa and entry into the UK. We have a friendly team of visa and immigration experts on hand to help you through the process to make it as easy for you as possible.

National Health Service

As part of your visa application, you may be required to pay towards the cost of the National Health Services (NHS). Payment of the health surcharge entitles you to NHS-funded healthcare on the same basis as an ordinarily UK resident, including NHS hospital care.

Post-study work visas

The UK offers a range of fantastic post-study visa options that most students are eligible for. The Graduate Immigration Route is an attractive option that allows those that have successfully completed a bachelors or postgraduate qualification in the UK to work or look for work for up to two years. It will also facilitate the move into other work routes that potentially lead to settlement.
