Learning for sustainability in business

A plug of soil with seven seeds at different stages of sprouting

Learning for sustainability in business is part of our mission. Here is an example of the kinds of development work we are engaged in.

The Centre worked with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) to create an online course on the Fundamentals of Sustainability.

The course consists of four modules with lectures, readings, web resources and interviews with sustainability accounting practitioners.

Although aimed at accounting students, the course is available to anyone who wishes to take it, is free (once registered with ICAEW at the link above), is accessible to anyone anywhere in the world, and takes eight-10 hours to complete.

Students can - and have - used the material to enhance their sustainability knowledge and it has also been used alongside courses offered in universities.

The Centre is open to developing bespoke educational material for professional bodies, trade associations or individual corporations. If this is of interest, be in touch to discuss your needs.
