LUCS Disclosure & Procedure

LUCS Disclosure

In advance of committing to undertake any new private consultancy project, all staff must obtain prior written consent from their Head of Department (HoD) or equivalent. To obtain consent staff must complete Form PS/98/791/A.

Consent will not be unreasonably withheld. However, the HoD or equivalent may withhold permission to undertake a private consultancy project that is likely to prevent staff from fulfilling the full range of their obligations to the University.

Other staff will seek consent for any new private consultancy as follows: HoDs from Deans; Deans or Pro Vice-Chancellor from the Vice-Chancellor (see the University policy on outside professional activities (Ref PS/98/791)).

LUCS Procedure

The procedure for consultancy work is outlined in the LUCS Procedure Flowchart..
