Trustworthy and Accountable Decision-Support Frameworks for Biodiversity

The Trustworthy and Accountable Decision-Support Frameworks for Biodiversity project has been supported by the ‘Economics of Biodiversity’ programme, itself funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and the Economics and Social Research Council (ESRC).

The project examines two land use scenarios, namely solar park development and changing agricultural approaches, to build with decision-makers an understanding of their decision needs and those of their stakeholders.

These decisions will be translated into a virtual lab setting which mirrors real-world decision context and allows stakeholders to gain an understanding of possible decision outcomes ahead of time.

The overall aim of this work is to understand how ‘trustworthy’ and ‘accountable’ frameworks can be created that will support greater integrity in ‘on the ground’ outcomes for nature.

If you have any questions about the project, please contact Professor Jan Bebbington.
